System Requirements

The Mini-Edit system will operate on any Microsoft Windows environment from the final service pack release of Win95 to today's WinNT and WinXP systems.

It works on personal, professional, and server releases of all of these.

It runs on WinNT- 2003 servers, but has not been tested on 64 bit systems.

Although Win95 is supported, it is not recommended. Windows 2000 and Windows XP are the preferred environments.

It is not essential to have the following common software in your machine, but it is rather helpful. See the page on Registering Support Tools for further information.

 

  • Microsoft Word -- To produce reports from the database
  • Microsoft Access -- To edit the ITS table files directly
  • Microsoft NotePad -- As a poor man's code and text editor
